Taking The Reigns

If you so wish, you as a player can work with the DM to create everything from entire planets to entire cities on established or unestablished/unnamed planets. You can construct the political landscape of the planet, with the understanding that the leadership of the planet must still answer to the leadership of the Strand that it is within. 

Together, I will guide you in developing as much of your creation as you see fit, with the understanding that after the campaign starts, I will gain control of the planet and, if necessary, develop and build upon aspects that were left undeveloped. I will always work to ensure what we established together will remain intact, but as the DM I might need to transform or adapt things slightly to let it click with the rest of the setting, the story, ect.

Somethings to consider as you construct a planet:

• Do you have a Strand you’d like for it to be in? (Optional, the DM can handle this one)

• What form of government does this planet have? Are officials elected, or are there dynasties of leaders who lead based on their bloodline? Are their coups, or attempted coups very often? (Please note that monarchies and autocracies are technically out of the question, due to the fact that they still answer to the Strand they are a part of.)

• Is there corruption in the government?

• How wealthy is the planet?

• Does this planet have a primary export? If so, how does this affect its people?

• Is there conflict between nations/cities on this planet? 

• What aesthetic is the planet? Is it more cyberpunk, or more medieval sci-fi like Star-Wars?

• How developed is the planet? What Category does it fall into? (Cat. 1 being most developed, Cat. 5 being least)

• What sort of fauna/flora is on this planet (please note that intelligent life CANNOT be native to the planet, as intelligent life only originates on Draconem and Khelsereia)

• How long has the planet been colonised? Is it new, having only been colonised in the last 200 years? Or is it ancient, having been colonised some two thousand years ago?

• What is the religious landscape of the planet? What is the dominant religion? Are they devout to the established churches mentioned [here], or are there Exo Gods?

• If there one or more Exo Gods, what are they the God of, if anything? What is their purpose? Do they often interact with mortals?

• What, if anything, are the concerns that the people of this planet have? Is there a plague they fight off, with draconian quarantine laws? Is there a string of murders in the planet’s capital city that the people fear will reach the planet’s ruler?

• How affected by the [Chorus Crisis] is the planet?
