Religion in the Empyrean Era is quieter than it was in the Atlesian Era. Often, people will claim some variety of faith but rarely practice said beliefs. In the face of the actually divine, however, they often find their reverence - when meeting champions, at holy sites, or when interacting with the actual Gods.
For heirs, those who insist on maintaining actual reverence for the Coven do so, especially now that it is not only legal, but commonplace. For the majority of those branded as ‘dragon-worshippers’, they respect the wisdom and teachings that the dragons bestow, without a need for piety.
While the Court is now less revered, it seems the remaining Gods are unbothered. Still the most widely worshipped across the Galactic Webbing, the Gods of the Court have received a new title: ‘The Primal Gods,’ distinguishing them as the most ancient Gods of all, having sprang into existence on Draconem itself. This distinction came about because, from the many thousands of planets that mortals have called home for thousands of years now, new Gods have sprang up. While these Gods are extremely powerful, they are not yet as powerful as the Draconae and the Primal Gods. They cannot anoint as the Primal Gods do, meaning there are no champions of these so-called ‘Exo Gods.’
There are thousands of other religions amongst the stars - some even practice more than one, a person might be deeply devoted to multiple at a time, depending on the spirituality. There are four major bodies of worship, being the Court, the Coven, [the Caution], and [star-travel]. Star-travel often overlaps with the other churches, the scriptures of which all idolise star-travel greatly. Those who do not find favour with any of the churches still often find great reverie in the act of traversing the stars, but of course, some people simply do not have faith of any kind, and that is perfectly alright as well.
